Full-time Associate Optometrist (with partnership opportunity!) - Moose Jaw, Sask
Our growing office needs another full-time optometrist, with the potential of future partnership for interested candidates. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice full-scope optometry while maintaining a great work-life balance! The “notorious” city is a popular tourist destination, offering all the amenities of a larger city but with a hometown feel.
Our office has provided over 40 years of full-scope, independent eye care! We serve Moose Jaw's wide-ranging population of ~35,000 plus multiple smaller communities in the area, allowing you to practice to full scope. We provide comprehensive eye exams to all ages with an emphasis on prevention of ocular disease, and we work closely with our two local ophthalmologists as well as co-manage with Saskatchewan-based laser surgery centers.
We also provide:
-biannual remote eye care to 5+ different First Nations Communities
-home visits within Moose Jaw and to Central Butte Care Home
-Lantern colour vision testing for CN and CP Rail
-specialty exams as requested – none of our docs are currently seeing patients for Binocular Vision exams, Scleral/RGP CL fits, or Low Vision evals, but we are very open to someone interested in specializing in any of these areas!

We are in search of a part time, permanent Optometrist Assistant / Receptionist to be a part of our friendly team. Along with optometrists and opticians, you will provide care to our existing and growing clientele in the Edmonton area. The ideal candidate will have previous related experience, be available to work 1 or 2 evenings a week until 7:30pm and Saturdays, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and capable of multitasking. Hours will range between 30-40 hours per week. No Sundays or holidays.
Qualifications / Duties:
- High school diploma, or equivalent.

Qualifications / Duties:
•Licensed in the province of Alberta.
•Examine patients' eyes, conduct tests and use specialized instruments to determine ocular health and visual acuity.
•Prescribe treatment to conserve, improve and correct vision and other ocular disorders.
•Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses and counsel on use and care.
- Develop your desired areas of patient care excellence (such as dry eye, scleral lenses, VT, glaucoma, ocular disease, or others).
•Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other physicians and surgeons when necessary.
•Counsel and inform patients on visual hygiene, ocular health, optical products, and eye safety.
