New Vista Optometry is searching for an enthusiastic, positive and inquisitive optometrist for a locum position for 4-6 weeks starting November 30th 2026. New Vista Optometry was established in 2019 to meet the needs of a diverse population of patients and is growing! Our patient base is a wide cross section of ages and ethnic backgrounds. Many of our loyal patients have been with us for over 30 years after relocation in 2019. We offer an active dispensary and up to date technology including autorefration, retinal imaging, OCT and Humphrey visual fields. We have an excellent, hardworking and dedicated staff that are cheerful and get along well. We are happy to offer either part time or full time positions and competitive renumeration. MUST be available to work weekends. Please apply only if you can work at least 1 weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
Responsibilities:

Schedule appointments and manage patient flow

Provide assistance to the optometrist during examinations and treatments.

Administer pre-tests and assist in filling out patient forms.

Record measurements of patients' eye pressure, test results, and print out reports.

Prepare treatment areas for appointments and keep them clean and tidy.

Explain procedures to patients.

Assist Patients in Optical Dispensary and process Glasses/Contact Lenses Orders

Communicate with other healthcare providers.

Process insurance claims and verify patient information.
