Responsibilities
· Deliver comprehensive eye exams and personalized patient care.
· Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions.
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
· Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive care.
· Participate in community outreach and wellness initiatives.
Qualifications
· Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
· Licensed and in good standing with the College of Optometrists of Ontario.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· A patient-first mindset with a collaborative and ethical approach.
· Demonstrated commitment to long-term patient relationships within the practice.

New Vista Optometry is searching for an enthusiastic, positive and inquisitive optometrist for a locum position for 4-6 weeks starting November 30th 2026. New Vista Optometry was established in 2019 to meet the needs of a diverse population of patients and is growing! Our patient base is a wide cross section of ages and ethnic backgrounds. Many of our loyal patients have been with us for over 30 years after relocation in 2019. We offer an active dispensary and up to date technology including autorefration, retinal imaging, OCT and Humphrey visual fields. We have an excellent, hardworking and dedicated staff that are cheerful and get along well. We are happy to offer either part time or full time positions and competitive renumeration.
